Girl Form 4 Student From SMK Lake, Bau Killed In School Bus Accident

A Form Four student from SMK Lake passed away on the way to Bau hospital after the school bus she was travelling in went out of control and veered into abig drain  along Jalan Krokong.

The deceased, Jenifer ak Guem, 16 was going to school with nine other students at 6.30 am when the incident occurred.

The other students managed to crawl out but did not see Jenifer.

The deceased was sitting at the front of the bus. According to eye-witnesses, the bus driver was trying to avoid an oncoming car before it lost control.

Jenifer was helped out of the  bus, but died on the way to the Bau hospital. She was the eldest in her family of four siblings.

A post mortem would be conducted.
