Tun Datu Tuanku Haji Bujang College’s Leo Club bags eight awards

MIRI: The last fiscal year has been a great success for the Leo Club of District 308 – A2 at Tun Datu Tuanku Haji Bujang College here having secured a collection of successes.

Firstly, it obtained the ‘Top Club Award’, then the ‘Top President Award’ and also the ‘Top Secretary Award’.

The other awards obtained were the ‘Top Treasurer’, ‘100% President’, ‘Outstanding Leo Garden’, ‘Leo Club Planning’ and the ‘Public Relations and Social Media’ awards.
“Our club earned eight awards in the last fiscal year 2011/2012.

“We look forward to winning more awards in the coming years,” commented the club’s new president Kaylene Anjek.

He was installed during a simple ceremony to hand over the duties to the new key office bearers at the college.

In his brief appreciation speech, he thanked the past committee for their hard work, commitment and invaluable contributions which had attributed to the various achievements. All hard work pays off and the result had been shown here, he commended.

The new committee line-up included Norman Chong as the secretary and Nicole Franco Majakin as the treasurer.

On behalf of the key officers Anjek pledged to continue upholding the club’s legacy in serving the community and to their utmost in making the world a better place to live in.

He sought the cooperation of all members to bring the club’s vision and objectives to fruition.
“Let’s all work together to make Leo Club a successful organisation for the betterment of its members, the school and the community,” Anjek urged.
