BINTULU: Spearheaded by nine of its top archers, SMK Bandar Bintulu was able to finish in third position at the 12th Miri Inter-School Archery Tournament held from August 4-5 at King’s Archery Sport Centre, Miri.
Colin Awan Sagan with 355 points emerged champion in the recurve Boy’s under-14 category and third in the recurve Boy’s under-18 category with 346 points. In the recurve Boy’s under-16, Brandon Heu Sing Ann was the victor after beating teammate Colin Awan Sagan with the score of 357-348. Brandon scored 346 points to grab the third placing in the recurve Open category.
The champion of the tournament was SMK Chung Hua Miri with 30 points followed by SMK St Columbia Miri with 23 points and SMK Bandar Bintulu on 22 points.
Principal of SMK Bandar Bintulu, Ling Kee Eng said the students’ outing in the tournament was a success as they had achieved excellence results and thus thanked parents and members of the school faculty for the support given.
