This vacancy is for PGCE graduates to teach full-time in a World IB school while gaining a free Master's in Education. Location is optional, as the international school has campuses in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru and Subang.

About the course: During your tenure as an IB teacher the school will cover the cost of a full Master's degree in Education, provided by Sheffield Hallam University. This will include online learning as well as on-site research into education policies of your choice, which you can then apply to your practical teaching. You will also gain CDP and CIDTT certificates and attend international IB workshops and conferences to gain an IB level 2 award.

- Kuala Lumpur is the country's capital and is a vibrant and exotic city where Malay, Chinese and Tamil cultures meet. The KL campus is located 20-30 minutes outside of the centre of KL. 
- Penang is an intriguing mixture of modernity and traditional charm, as evidenced by its well-preserved heritage buildings and its status as a UNESCO World Cultural heritage Site. It is also popular for its beaches and is considered the food capital of Malaysia. 
- Johor Bahru is a sprawling and cosmopolitan city and is the second largest in Malaysia. It is connected directly to Singapore by road and rail allowing for easy travel on weekends and holidays.
- Subang is a quiet and affluent residential area southwest of Kuala Lumpur, famous for its 5 star hotels as much as its pristine golf courses. 



Please note that you can choose to remain in one campus, or transfer between any of the four to experience Malaysia's rich variety of environments.



Curriculum and teaching: The international school has a dedication and commitment to the value of teaching the International Baccalaureate program across all levels. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) for pupils from age 3 focuses on the development of the whole child in the classroom and the outside world. The Middle Years Program (MYP) for students aged 11 onwards provides a framework for challenging students and developing life skills through traditional subjects. The Diploma Program (DP) for students from age 16 is a two-year curriculum that leads to a qualification similar to iGCSE or A Level and is internationally recognised by universities. As a teacher at this school you will gain an unparalleled understanding of the IB as represented by your IB Level 2 certificate.
