STC are currently recruiting a number of Subject Matter Experts to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The SME positions are for Experts in English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths, and they will be instrumental in researching and designing curricula for IGCSE level e-learning programmes.
The positions are based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and are available for an immediate start.
Job description
• Content research for IGCSE/SPM level subjects
• Bringing research through to a storyboard stage for production of e-learning content
• Working in a team with other SMEs, Graphic Designers, Writers and Instructional Designers in order to produce effective learning solutions in context with the implementation of self-learning methodologies
Job Requirements
• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree specialising in their core subject area. Candidates without higher degrees can be considered if they can demonstrate substantial experience of teaching their core subject at GCSE level, in a high/secondary school environment.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in teaching or research (preferably at GCSE level) and should have a thorough understanding of how best to interest and engage today's teenagers with their core subject.
• Candidates must be comfortable and confident using a computer, especially PowerPoint.
• In addition candidates must have classroom experience. This position is office based and so candidates should be adaptable to a fast-paced environment, as well as working to deadlines.
• Must have an excellent command of the English language. Preferably native speakers of English, however if English is not the first language, the candidates should hold a professional qualification equivalent to an IELTS score of at least 6.5
