Full Scholarship Opportunity: Fostering ASEAN Future Leaders 2014/2015

FULL SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY:

Fostering ASEAN Future Leaders 2014/2015 is the continuation of the previous program called “ASEAN Leaders Fostering Program 2013”. Previously, 20 students from 10 ASEAN countries were selected to participate the programme for 1 academic year in Daejeon University. Daejeon University (DJU) and ASEAN University Network (AUN) had launched the international exchange between ASEAN and South Korea since 2002. The program received very positive response and active participation from all ASEAN nations since its inception and the long standing continuation and sustainability of the programme for more than a decade is a tangible proof.

This year’s Fostering ASEAN Future Leaders offers full scholarships to 20 undergraduate students in the field of Information and Communications Technology, Social Sciences and Humanities to study as exchange student at Daejeon University for one academic year. The scholarship covers for:

-tuition fees

-accident insurance

-accommodation

-meals

-round-trip ticket

-USD 300 monthly stipend. 

Moreover, the students will be given a chance to attend a 2-month internship programme at the leading organizations in Korea, namely:

-United Nations-Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development (UN APCICT)

-Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KIST)

-ASEAN-Korea Centre, Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety (KINS)

-Korea Nuclear International Cooperation Foundation (KONICOF)

-Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute

To apply, you have to be:

-Citizen of ASEAN Nations and currently enrolled in one of the universities in ASEAN Countries

-Undergraduate students in the field of ICT, Social Science, and Humanities

-Excellent Academic Record 

-Good command of written and spoken English

-Good medical record
