Petronas Education Sponsorship Programme (PESP) 2014 - Placement At Foreign Universities

PETRONAS Education Sponsorship Program (PESP) or Pendidikan PETRONAS is once again offering education sponsorship for undergraduate studies to Malaysia's most outstanding students in oil and gas related field. The sponsorships are open for undergraduate programmes with secured university placement at foreign universities. This scholarship is offered for the following disciplines:

Accounting / Commerce / Finance;

Economics;

Chemical Engineering;

Eligibility Criteria: 

• Malaysian citizens aged 23 years old and below at the point of application;
• Possess strong leadership skills and active participation (demonstrable) in extra-curricular activities;
• Currently not receiving any type of sponsorship from other sponsored agency;
• Completed Foundation, Pre-University, Diploma, Matriculation, Australian Matriculation Programme (AUSMAT),
• Canadian Pre-University Programme (CPU), Canadian International Matriculation Programme (CMP), Sijil Tinggi
• Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) or International Baccalaureate (IB);
• Secured university placement for undergraduate programme in foreign university.

Academic Qualification:

Foundation:

• Foundation Programme (UTP): a minimum CGPA of 2.70;
• For A-Level, a minimum of 2A 1B;
• For AUSMAT, a minimum of TER 85.0;
• For CPU and CMP, a minimum of 85.0
• For IB, a minimum of 35 points.

STPM:

• Pass General Paper;
• Minimum score of Band 3 for MUET; and
• For Technical Programme: Pass STPM with at least 3 Principal B of these subjects: Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics;
• For Non-Technical Programme: Pass STPM with at least 3 Principal B of these subjects: Accounts, Business Studies, Economics and Mathematics.

Diploma and Matriculation:

• Minimum CGPA of 3.30;
• Minimum score of Band 3 for Malaysian University English Test (MUET);
• Diploma must accredited by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA) and recognised by JPA;
• For IB, a minimum of 35 points.
• Undergraduate:
• Minimum CGPA of 3.30;
• Minimum score of Band 3 for Malaysian University English Test (MUET);
• Diploma must accredited by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA) and recognised by JPA.

• Applicants are required to download the PETRONAS Education Sponsorship Programme (PESP) Application Form;
• Completed application form must be submitted to edu_sponsorship@petronas.com.my before the closing date of 22 June 2014 (5PM);
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for assessment;
• Your application is deemed unsuccessful if you do not receive any feedback / response within 30 days from the closing date of application.
